How It Works
The Promise Room works closely with Counselors at Sweetwater Middle School, Sweetwater High School, Blackwell High School, Highland High School, and Roscoe Collegiate High School to help young ladies and men receive the ultimate experience for their event.
If you are a student or parent/guardian of a student who could benefit from services offered by The Promise Room, please contact your counselor and complete the information sheet located in their office. Your counselor will return your information The Promise Room Committee, and we will be in touch with you to schedule your appointment.
After Your Appointment
Alterations & Cleaning
After you have selected your dress, shoes, and accessories, our seamstress will meet with you to review any alterations you may need. After the dress is altered, we will schedule a final fitting then send your dress off to be professionally dry cleaned.
Corsage
Once you have selected your dress, we will work with you to select colors for your custom corsage. Each corsage is made of silk flowers, ensuring you will get to keep your corsage as a keepsake long after your event.
Hair & Make-up
We will arrange to have your hair and make-up done by a local salon. This includes full-glam make-up and any hairstyle you choose, all free of charge.
For the Boys
We didn't forget our young men! We work with our local flower shop to provide a tux rental for our young men. After we receive your application from your counselor, we will arrange a time to meet you at the flower shop to select your tux. After you have selected your tux, we will work to create a custom silk flower boutonnière to match. Please remember this tux is a rental and you will need to return it after your event.
